Students at the campus of Regent, a Christian university that offers affordable cost of attendance.

Cost of Attendance

Regent University provides the following information about your Cost of Attendance to assist you in making informed decisions about your degree and provide you a baseline summary of your financial aid eligibility from which you may begin to budget, plan, and prepare. Your Cost of Attendance, which determines the total financial aid from all sources that you are permitted to receive, is based on both direct charges and indirect cost estimates.

  • Direct charges are paid to and billed by the Business Office. These charges include tuition, any applicable fees like parking or technology fees, and on-campus housing at Virginia Beach (if applicable). You can find more specific information on the direct cost of your program by visiting the Tuition & Costs page.
  • Indirect cost estimates are additional expenses you need to consider that are not charged to you by the university. These charges include books, supplies, food, personal expenses, transportation and off-campus housing. Additionally, the one-time costs associated with obtaining a professional license, certification, or other professional credential may be included as an indirect cost estimate.

In the tabs on this page, we provide an estimate of annual indirect costs. You can follow the link above to explore direct costs applicable to your degree program. If you would like more information on the direct cost of your program, please contact the Business Office at 757.352.4059 or visit them online.

When considering your financial aid options, remember that it is always best to borrow conservatively while taking advantage of multiple funding sources. Please make sure to review available scholarship and grant opportunities.

Students at all degree levels may encounter external costs for obtaining professional licensure, certifications, or other professional credentials. When such costs are related to a student’s degree program, students may notify the Student Financial Aid Office so that the allowance is added to their cost of attendance. See our Professional Judgment page for information regarding these costs and how to submit the information for a cost of attendance increase.

Financial aid applicants are generally required to complete the Enrollment Plans Information Request Form each academic year. The Student Financial Aid Office uses this information to determine the number of semesters to include in a student’s financial aid award schedule, and to determine the number of weeks the student will be enrolled when determining indirect cost allowances to include within the student’s cost of attendance.

Exception: Students enrolled in the Law JD program, as well as traditional undergraduate on-campus students, are not required to complete this form.
